Dear families,

As all the signs say it…summer deserves a speeding ticket. It goes by too quickly.

Whether you worked hard, planned and organized, visited friends and family, travelled or stayed in place, my hope is that it was enjoyable.

For many in our AS community, it’s been a challenging summer. At ASF Canada, we are deeply saddened by the loss of Charlotte Thompson in July and send big love and support to her family. Please know that our community is here to support you, no matter where you are on your AS journey. We work hard to keep our families strong, connected and supported.

As many of us are preparing for back to school, stay tuned for a virtual check-in in October via Zoom so we can talk about all things Angelman and school!

We hope to see many of you at our Stronger Together Charity Ball on October 21, 2023 in Toronto!

HUG Camp 2023 - A place for connections.

A weekend camp for families. We will Help, Uplift and Grow together.

This past weekend, families from Ontario and Québec had the opportunity to attend HUG camp at the Kinark Outdoor Centre in Minden, partially sponsored by ASF Canada. It was a HUGE success thanks to Alison Rumball’s hard work and commitment to our families. The weekend was full of connection and rejuvenation. Mum to Heegun, Hilla Cho, shared, “We had a great time at camp HUG. Stayed over for the first time and boys loved it:) We also visited the Walkabout farm and to my surprise Heegun was not scared of the big horses!”.

Pauline, mum to Ryan and Joseph, says, “From Montréal to Minden, so, so worth the distance! It was a great time for us to connect with new families and already known families. We all loved it and enjoyed it”.

Thank you Alison Rumball for all you do for our families. You are a true gem!

Stronger Together Charity Ball
